Feed My Sheep
Kahului Church of the Nazarene partners with Feed My Sheep, a non-profit charitable organization that distributes food to those in need in our local communities. Monthly a team of volunteers from our Church Ohana helps pass out bags of groceries to working poor families, homeless men and women, and seniors on fixed incomes. We also give them emotional support and offer prayer. Sometimes just a hug and big smile is all they need to feel loved.
1 John 3:17–18 (NIV), If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
Serving those in need, giving them food and emotional support is a way of expressing our love for our neighbors; by helping and serving them we revere our Heavenly Father.
